Two ways into Lola’s books

Dark & Lovely Things by Lola Dresden

If you’ve found me through Dark & Lovely Things, begin there. You don’t need a prequel first. Here’s the reading order for Isolde’s story, followed by a different way into my books when you’re ready for Private Sins.

THE VASSALLO WOLVES

Isolde’s husband is dead, but his family still expects to decide her future. Their plans extend to her next marriage. Dante is her husband’s brother, which puts him inside the family she has reason to distrust.

Start with Dark & Lovely Things, then continue in this order:

2. Dark & Lovely Vows

3. Dark & Lovely Ruin

Dark & Lovely Beginnings is the optional prequel:

PRIVATE SINS

This is a separate series. Its contemporary Bay Area setting brings us to victim advocate Trinity Slade and Sebastian “Bast” Pell, where justice reaches beyond the system that has failed people.

Start with She Only Kills the Guilty:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GFW58N58

Continue with The Sins We Choose, They Made Her a Monster, The Queen’s Law, and The Monster’s Game. What She Kept is the optional prequel.

Choose the Vassallos for gothic mafia romance and forbidden attraction inside a dangerous family. Private Sins follows Trinity and Bast into a contemporary story about justice after the system has failed the people who need it.

Want the companion note? “Who gets to say no?” looks at protection, control, and what Dante’s family ties mean for Isolde. Get future letters from The Velvet Noose:
